Personal data we process
AVOP processes personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- Contact details (name, address, email address, phone number)
- Organisational data (function, employer)
- Biographical data (age, date of birth, education)
- Correspondence and questionnaire results
- Test scores, reports and CVs
- Answers to the AI scan and associated email data
- Email address when requesting the AI Compass (download)
- Email address when subscribing to our newsletter
- IP addresses and technical browser information (server logs only)
Purposes of processing
AVOP processes personal data for the following purposes:
- Registration and management of clients and candidates
- Maintaining business relationships
- Delivering our services: assessment, coaching, training, career guidance, organisational consulting
- Responding to enquiries via the contact form or the AI scan
- Sending the AI Compass after a download request
- Sending a requested scan report
- Sending our newsletter (only after explicit opt-in via subscription)
- Improving our website and services
Legal basis for processing
AVOP processes personal data on the basis of one or more of the following grounds:
- Performance of a contract (assignment, assessment, trajectory)
- Consent (when using the contact form, the AI scan or the AI Compass download)
- Legitimate interest (business relationship, website security)
- Legal obligation (statutory retention period for tax data)
Retention periods
AVOP does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary for the purposes for which it is collected:
- Assessment and candidate files: two years after completion of the assignment
- Contact requests and scan submissions: maximum one year, unless this leads to a business relationship
- Tax data: seven years (statutory retention period)
- Business correspondence: as long as the relationship lasts, then two years
Sharing data with third parties
AVOP does not share your data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do engage processors for specific parts of our services:
- Hosting partner: Netlify (United States/EU). For displaying this website, processing form submissions (contact, AI scan, AI Compass, newsletter sign-ups) and the temporary storage thereof.
- Email delivery: for sending the scan report, newsletter and automatic confirmations. Unsubscribing from the newsletter is always possible via the link in each issue or by messaging info@avop.nl.
- External consultants, trainers and assessment psychologists: for the execution of specific assignments.
- Test and assessment platforms: for administering and scoring questionnaires.
We have data processing agreements or comparable arrangements with all these parties that comply with the GDPR.
Assessment candidates
For each assessment candidate a file is built up with personal data, conversation notes, correspondence and test results. These files are accessible only to AVOP employees who need this data for their work.
Every written report is submitted to the candidate for review and approval prior to being sent to the client. Only after written approval by the candidate is the report sent. AVOP never reports on confidential conversation content.
Security & confidentiality
AVOP takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Our website runs on a secure HTTPS connection. AVOP employees are bound by a duty of confidentiality that remains in force after the end of employment. AVOP works to the professional ethical code of the Dutch Institute of Psychologists.
Your rights
You have the right to inspect, correct, delete, restrict the processing of, or transfer your personal data. You can also object to processing. You can submit a request to that effect via:

AVOP will respond to your request within four weeks. To prevent misuse, we may ask for additional identification.
Cookies
This website uses as few cookies as possible. We only place technically necessary cookies, for which no consent is required under the Telecommunications Act and the GDPR.
Functional cookies
- Session cookie: generated by Netlify for basic functionality and security. Removed as soon as you close the browser. Contains no personal information.
This website uses no Google Analytics or other tracking cookies. We place no cookies for marketing, profiling or audience analysis.

Complaints
Do you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data? You can submit it to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. We ask you to contact us first, so that we can find a solution together.
