e-coaching

Individual development

In E-coaching, as with other forms of coaching, all revolves around the personal development of the coachee related to specific themes in the work context. What distinguishes e-coaching from ‘face-to-face’ coaching is the independence from time and place. This introduces a special dynamic into the coaching process. As such, coachees are, for example, stimulated towards self-reflecting through the communication of e-mail messages (putting matters into writing structures the thoughts).

Exploratory conversation? Our coaches

What does it bring?

The coachee’s specific goals are the starting point. But the coach invariably works on increasing self-awareness, realistic insight into the self and acknowledging the (boundaries of) the own influencing possibilities. E-mail, the designated medium for e-coaching, renders the coaching independent of place and time. Writing has also proven to be helpful in terms of allowing people to distance themselves from the situation. As such, the coachee has the opportunity to think longer and more profoundly about the questions and he/she has the time to reflect on the situation.

  • Independent of time and place
  • Encourages reflection
  • Fully uses the power of social anonymity
  • Is in line with the 24 hour economy
  • Helps to make choices
  • Stimulates better performance
  • Increases self-confidence
  • Clearly shows coachees what is suitable for them, and allows making subsequent decisions

How do we work?

In an initial conversation (face-to-face, video or telephone) we explore the coaching issue. In doing so, the coach and coachee ascertain whether they are able to work together; after all, there should be sufficient mutual trust to embark upon a process this personal. The intensity is high; there are several moments of contact in a relatively shorter time than normal coaching would require. This greatly enhances the learning effect.

  • Using the user-friendly and secure digital environment
  • Process approach of the coaching
  • Optional: Intermediate and/or end-evaluation with manager
  • Optional: three-way conversation between coachee, coach and manager, in which the latter can share his or her specific concerns
